Mexico Hedge Crude Below 68.7$/bbl for 2023

Mexico’s oil hedge for 2023 protects revenues if crude prices fall below 68.70$/bbl according to Deputy Finance Minister Gabriel Yorio.

  • “For 2023, there is an oil hedge program that can be used if we observe a fall in oil prices below our budgeted price of $68.70 per barrel,” Yorio said in a presentation to a Mexican congressional committee.
  • Yorio didn’t specify whether the hedge has been completed or is still ongoing.
