Mexico's Richest Man To Pay For Subway Rebuild

  • Telecom and construction magnate Carlos Slim has pledged to rebuild and pay for a segment of a Mexico City subway line that collapsed on May, killing 26 people, President AMLO said Wednesday.
    • López Obrador said he has promised to pay for the rebuilding out of his own pocket and have it back in service in a year. One of his companies had originally built much of the section where the collapse occurred.
  • Former President Donald Trump went to the southern U.S. border on Wednesday with Texas Governor Greg Abbott to criticize President Joe Biden's immigration policies and highlight an issue he used to propel himself into the White House in 2016.
