OIL: Mid-Day Oil Products Summary: Cracks Climbs

Diesel and gasoline cracks are trading higher today. Cracks have steadied in recent days after a pullback in diesel spreads during late November and early December to the lowest since late October.
- US gasoline crack up 0.4$/bbl at 13.2$/bbl
- US ULSD crack up 0.9$/bbl at 23.22$/bbl
- The Rhône Energies Fos oil refinery announced flaring due to a “minor instability” on a production unit on the morning of Dec. 9, according to a community alert.
- CDU capacity utilisation rates at China’s state-owned refineries are expected to edge down in the week to Dec. 12 according to OilChem, as refineries scale down their production scheduling for December.
- CDU capacity utilisation rates at domestic refineries in China averaged 68.88% last week, down 1.02 percentage points on the previous seven-day period.
- Global airline passenger capacity is set to rise to 108.02m seats in the seven days commencing from Dec. 09, OAG said.
