Middle Distillate Tonne-Miles to Europe Slip, India’s Market Share Grows

  • Europe has been purchasing higher volumes of middle distillates from Asia as it seeks new outlets to replace Russian volumes which were banned February 5. India has emerged as a key supplier.
  • India is one of the biggest buyers of sanctioned Russian crude barrels. Western officials have said they are satisfied with India buying Russian oil, as long as it is under the $60/bbl price cap.
