Minutes Released Later Today

COLOMBIA

At 2200GMT/1700ET we will see the minutes from last Friday's central bank MPC meeting. The board was once again split on whether to hold rates, with the two-person minority heavily expected to have voted for a 25 bps cut at Friday's meeting.


This will also be the first set of minutes the market can digest with the new Governor, Leonardo Villar, in place.


January CPI figures expected to be released late Friday will also provide further evidence as to whether the weak CPI readings have continued to bounce back and corroborate the consensus view of the committee that the dip is due to transient factors.
