TOKYO (MNI)

The Bank of Japan should carefully examine and analyze the impact of yield curve control, asset purchases, forward guidance and the overshooting commitment on prices and the economy, BOJ board member Goushi Kataoka said on Wednesday

The BOJ needs to carefully examine its future strategy, Kataoka told business leaders in Maebashi City via an online meeting.

Kataoka didn't elaborate on how the BOJ should tweak asset purchases and forward guidance ahead of the March 18-19 meeting when the BOJ releases its assessment of further effective and sustainable easy policy.
