MNI BRIEF: BOJ, MOF, FSA Officials To Exchange View On Markets

Senior officials at the Bank of Japan, the Ministry of Finance and the Financial Services Agency will hold their regular meeting at 1600 JST (0700 GMT) to exchange view on financial markets and global economic conditions, the BOJ said on Friday.

The dollar rose to a high of JPY134.48 level on Friday as the currency has weakened and increased import costs in Japan, (See MNI INSIGHT: Weak Economy Ties BOJ To Easy Policy As Yen Sinks). Shinichi Uchida, the BOJ executive director in charge of monetary policy, and Tokiko Shimizu, the executive director in charge of international affairs, will attend the meeting.
