MNI BRIEF: Brussels Approves France E7.4bn RRF Tranche Payout

The EU Commission has given the go-ahead for EUR7.4bn of Recovery and Resilience Fund money to be paid to France following a positive evaluation of the reforms and other measures undertaken so far by the country as part of its national recovery plan.

Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said in a statement that France had made rapid progress in implementing its NRP. France is due to receive EUR40bn in total from the RRF.
