The ECB’s Governing Council has nominated Bundesbank’s vice president Claudia Buch fto be the new chair of the Supervisory Board, replacing Andrea Enria, a press release from the Frankfurt-based central bank said Wednesday.

Buch’s nomination needs the formal approval of the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union. Acceptance will see he replace Enria as head of the SSM on January 1^st 2024.
