Drivers of inflation across the euro area will likely 'ease over the course of this year', European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde said Friday, while confirming the bank's commitment to price stability remains 'unwavering'.

Speaking to an online audience via COSAC, Lagarde said the ECB 'would take any measures necessary to ensure that we deliver on our inflation target of 2% over the medium term.'
