St. Louis Fed President James Bullard said the Federal Reserve should wait for a more fullsome economic recovery before considering any tightening of monetary policy.

"We have a great policy in place for right now," he told a webinar. "We are looking forward for the end of the pandemic but it hasn't happened yet."

His remarks came after Richmond Fed President Thomas Barkin told MNI in a recent interview he's still focused on powerful disinflationary forces affecting the economy.
