LONDON (MNI)

Norges Bank's fourth quarter Expectations Survey found inflation expectations among businesses and unions to come in a shade above the 2.0% target in a years' time, with wage growth expected to be subdued. Business leaders expected goods and services inflation to come in at 2.4% in 12 months time, unions (social partners) anticipated it would be at 2.3%.

Households expected inflation to be 1.9% a year ahead but they anticipate annual wage growth to slow to just 1.3% in the next 12 months, from the anticipated 2.1% wage growth anticipated by businesses' this year. The survey overall suggests inflation expectations are not putting pressure on Norges Bank to tighten policy.
