The People's Bank of China will conduct its second central bank bills swap (CBS) operation this year on February 28, according to a statement on its website.
The bill swaps, with a three-month tenor and worth CNY5 billion, are open to primary dealers for bidding at a fixed rate of 0.1%.
The operation aims to improve the liquidity of bank-issued perpetual bonds and support banks to replenish capital through perpetual bond issuance, the PBOC said.
