MNI BRIEF: Skingsley To Leave Riksbank, Join BIS Project

(MNI) London

Riksbank First Deputy Governor Cecilia Skingsley, a dovish policy voter who spearheaded work on the central bank's digital currency, is leaving the Swedish central bank to join the Bank for International Settlements.

Skingsley will leave the Riskbank on August 15 and take up a post as head of the BIS Innovation Hub, which is co-ordinating work on CBDCs and other technological innovation in the central banking world. The news was jointly announced by the Riksbank and the BIS.
