MNI: China Customs Official: China, U.S. Interests Intertwined

     BEIJING (MNI) - A Chinese trade official on Friday played down impact from
the trade spat with the U.S., stressing that the interests of the two countries
are intertwined. 
China has advantages in manufacturing and infrastructure layout, Li Kuiwen,
spokesman of the General Administration of Customs, said at a press conference
in Beijing.
Chinese exports to the U.S. in September rose about 16% on year, while imports
from the U.S. gained about 1%, Li said. 
The customs agency is expected to release September trade details at 11 a.m.
Beijing time.
