By William Bi and Iris Ouyang
LONDON (MNI) - China continues to support the integration of global
economies despite all protectionist forces currently at play, Vice Commerce
Minister Wang Shouwen, who in August led a trade delegation to the U.S. for
talks.
"We will facilitate our further opening up and reform" at our own pace and
according to our layout, said Wang, who spoke to reporters in Beijing on Tuesday
to mark the opening of the Hainan free trade zone.
The example of Hainan opening up showed China's determination and
confidence to further open up to the rest of the world, Wang said.
Hainan will boost efforts to attract foreign investment, facilitate trade
and increase its co-operation with Belt and Road countries, Shen Danyang, the
province's Vice Governor told reporters at the conference.
