MNI DATA BRIEF: Eurozone Consumer Confidence slips in August

Consumer confidence slid in August, the latest data from the European Commission shows, as concerns over the Delta variant of Covid-19 infections weighs on sentiment. The headline Consumer Confidence index for teh Eurozone fell 0.9 points to -6.3, the survey showed.

Across the wider European Union area, confidnce slipped 0.7 points to -5.3 points.
