French business conditions worsened in August, with an index published by Insee falling to 110 from 113 in July, the third consecutive decline.
However, the industrial climate improved, with the manufacturing index rising to 110, the highest since at least September of 2019, from a downwardly-revised 109 in July. The services index slumped to 108 from 111 in July, the lowest level since May.
