Business sentiment in France surged to a near 14-year high in June, data released by national statistics agency Insee Thursday showed, with the pick-up driven by a marked improvement in the services sector, buoyed by the reopening from Covid-related restrictions.
The overall June Business Climate Indicator rose by 5 points to 113, boosted by a 6 point gain in the service index and an 8-point jump in the retail sector. Insee noted firms in all sectors pointed to a brighter outlook in the June survey.
