     LONDON (MNI) - Monday sees plenty of data in both Europe and the US, with
the manufacturing PMI data set to be the highlights on both sides of the
Atlantic.
     The European calendar gets underway at 0715GMT, with the publication of the
Swiss retail sales data.
     At the same time, the Spanish final September Markit manufacturing PMI data
will cross the wires.
     The Italian manufacturing PMI will be released at 0745GMT, with the French
data at 0750GMT, German at 0755GMT and the combined euro area data at 0800GMT.
     The UK Markit/CIPS Manufacturing PMI data will be published at 0830GMT.
     Back on the Continent, the euro area August unemployment data will cross
the wires at 0900GMT.
     Bundesbank Board member Andreas Dombret speaks at the National University
of Singapore/OMFIF from 1015GMT.
     Across the Atlantic, the US final September Markit Manufacturing Index will
be published at 1345GMT.
     At 1400GMT, the ISM Manufacturing Index and the US August construction
spending data will cross the wire.
     Dallas Federal Reserve Bank President Rob Kaplan will participate in a
moderated Q&A session at Dialogue with the Fed Luncheon in El Paso, Texas, with
audience and media Q&A, starting at 1800GMT.
