     LONDON (MNI) - At 0645BST data on Swiss unemployment is published, followed
by German industrial production at 0700BST. Another highlight on Wednesday is
the release of data on Housing Starts in Canada at 1315BST.
     The March unemployment rate (SA) in Switzerland was stable at 2.4%, where
it has been since December 2018. Monthly unemployment fell by 6.0%, the largest
decline since May 2018. On a yearly basis unemployment dropped by 13.9% in March
after decreasing by 17% in February.
     Germany's industrial production increased by 0.7% m/m in February after
remaining stable (0.0%) in January. According to the MNI median industrial
production is expected to decline by 0.5% monthly, shifting the index below the
10-Year average. Moreover, this would be the biggest decline since November
2018. On a yearly basis, IP is anticipated to drop by 2.5% after falling by 0.4%
in February.
     According to the MNI median Canadian housing starts are expected to
increase to 196k in April. In March the index rose to 192,500 after a sharp
decline in February to 166,300.
     The highlights in terms of speeches are BOE's Dave Ramsden speaking in
London and Fed's Lael Brainard talking at the Fed of Richmond.
