     LONDON (MNI) - With a very quiet start to the week in Europe, the three key
releases Monday are US retail sales at 1230GMT, home sales in Canada by the
Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) at 1300GMT and China's consumer price
index data at 0130GMT.
     ECB Supervisory Board member Ignazio Angeloni in Brussels, starting at

     Retail sales in the US was 0.1% in August. The reading excluding motor
vehicle sales was 0.3% and excluding gas sales as well meant a reading of 0.2%
growth in August.
     The CREA home sales m/m growth rate in August was 0.9%.
     ECB Supervisory Board Chair Daniele Nouy speaks in Brussels at 1600GMT.
     Finishing the speeches at 1800GMT is ECB Vice-President Luis de Guindos in
Madrid.
     In China, CPI for August was 2.3% y/y and is anticipated by the MNI median
to tick up to 2.5% in September.
