MNI Global Morning Briefing: Speakers to the fore

Thursday throws up another muted data day in Europe, with just Eurozone August construction production data set for release.

The construction outlook remains in focus in the U.S., with building permits for September due at 1330BST. Permits are expected to have slowed to 1.68 million from 1.728 million in August.

Other data includes the Redbook retail sales release at 1335BST and the NY Fed's Leading Indicator at 1630 BST.

There are a string of speakers on deck Tuesday, including BOE MPC member Catherine Mann and BOE Governor Andrew Bailey. Bailey's comments are billed as opening an online forum, so may not be policy directed.

Other speakers include ECB Chief Economist Philip Lane and Executive Board members Frank Elderson and Fabio Panetta. Fed speakers include Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic, SF President Mary Daly, and Governors Michelle Bowman and Christopher Waller.
