MNI:Key Points From September US Industrial Production Report>

     WASHINGTON (MNI) - The following are the key points from the 
September G.17 U.S. industrial production and capacity utilization data 
released Tuesday by the Federal Reserve: 
     - Industrial Production Up By 0.3%, Larger Than The +0.2% Expected 
Due To Gains In Most Categories 
     - Manufacturing Production Up 0.1%, And Up 0.1% Excluding A 0.1% 
Gain In Motor Vehicle Production 
     - Utilities Production +1.5%, Gas +1.4%, Electricity +1.5%, 
Mining Production +0.4% 
     - Industrial Production Rebounded From August's 0.7% Drop, Showing 
A Quick Recovery From Hurricanes 
     - Capacity Utilization Up 0.2% At 76.0%
