BEIJING (MNI) - The People's Bank of China (PBOC) injected CNY100 billion
via one-year medium-term lending facility (MLF) with the rate unchanged on
Monday, according to a statement on the PBOC website.
     - The cut to selected banks' reserve requirement ratios by 0.5 to 1
percentage point announced last Friday also took effect today, releasing CNY550
billion in long-term funds.
     - These operations injected net CNY650 billion as no MLF matures today,
according to the PBOC announcement.
     - The MLF rate was unchanged at 3.15%.
     - The 7-day weighted average interbank repo rate for depository
institutions (DR007) rose to 2.3682% at 09:57 a.m. local time from the close of
2.0644% on Friday.
     - The CFETS-NEX money-market sentiment index closed at 36 on Friday vs 34
on Thursday. A higher index indicates decreased market expectations for tighter
liquidity.
