MNI: PBOC Skips OMOs; No Reverse Repos Mature Today

     BEIJING (MNI) - The PBOC skipped open market operations (OMO) on Thursday,
stating on its website that steady increase of month-end fiscal expenses can
offset the liquidity drain due to local government bond issuance and reverse
repo maturities. No reverse repos matured today.
  - The PBOC has resumed its inaction after yesterday's first OMO since Aug 14;
  - CFETS-ICAP's money-market sentiment index closed at 31 on Wednesday, down
from 36 on Tuesday;
  - Benchmark 7-day deposit repo average rose to 2.6492% from 2.6459% on
Tuesday: Wind Information.
