Just over 14% of the S&P500 by market cap are due to report earnings this week. The healthcare, technology and communication services sectors are in focus after financials took the spotlight last week.
So far, firms have generally beaten expectations on both an EPS and Sales basis. Financials reported well, with EPS topping forecasts by around 20%, while industrials lag – albeit only on a few reports.
Thursday is the busiest day for the index, although Tuesday and Wednesday see a decent number of reports.
