Q2 earnings – in general – remain very strong, with firms solidly beating expectations on both EPS and revenue. The energy sector has beaten forecast by the largest margin, with the average energy name topping EPS forecasts by over 50%. Utilities names are lagging, missing expectations on revenue by 24%.
