FOREX: MNI's FX Positioning Indicator finds Sterling's Recent Short Position Has
Crumbled:
-USD: Long and Strong - The USD index's retreat from cycle highs printed at
97.693 has done little to deter a market which remains net long the greenback
-EUR: German Growth Concerns Add to Italian Debt Woes - Net position touched
lowest since early 2017 in most recent week, largely due to slashing of longs
- GBP: Positioning Improving Despite 'No Deal' Brexit Threats - Too soon to say
positioning will recover further, but a sustained bounce would suggest it's more
than short-covering
- AUD: Positioning May Suggest Bottom is in Place - Impetus to move higher,
however, is lacking, with the total long position sitting at the lowest since
early 2015 after a 75% fall from 2018's best levels
