MOF Mulls Support Scheme Extension

SOUTH KOREA

Bond futures continue to hold narrow ranges after initial decline in the early part of the session while equity markets creep higher. There were reports from Yonhap Infomax that the MOF, FSC and BoK are considering extending use of the SPV set up to buy low rate corporate bonds and CP. The SPV was set up in July 2020 to help ensure support for companies with liquidity problems. A final decision on the sixth month extension will be announced before Jul 13
