Moldova Awaits Gazprom Response

Moldovagaz has not received a response from Gazprom on terms to improve its current gas contract.

• "Moldovagaz management board chairman Vadim Ceban held discussions with Gazprom's management at the beginning of July, including with [Gazprom CEO] Alexei Miller, on certain points that would improve the terms of the current contract. But we haven't received a response so far," Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister and Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Andrei Spinu said in parliament this week.

• Moldovagaz has requested several times that Gazprom ensure additional supplies for the creation of gas reserves, but no response has been received, Spinu said.
