US VIEW: Moody's ratings agency just released it's stable outlook for U.S. banks
in 2019, "supported by strong and steady earnings and stable risk metrics."
According to Moody's, bank's "profitability will benefit from rising rates, and
revenue growth is outpacing expense growth. Capitalization will decline with
increasing shareholder payouts," while bank's "capital performance in stress
scenarios still compares favorably with global peers." Moody's adds that
"liquidity will remain a key credit strength for US banks as holdings of liquid
assets are high and wholesale funding reliance will remain low."
