More Russian crude at sea

Between 74 and 79mbbls of Russian oil is in transit or floating storage in the last week according to Kpler. This compares to just 27mbbls back in February.

  • Russia export barrels are looking for a home with US, UK and EU stepping away from Russian oil. China and India have so far taken much of the spare supply but may struggle to take more. China is still struggling with oil demand due to covid restrictions and it remains to be seen if Indian refiners can take more volume due to the difference in Russian crude specification to their normal supply.
