MOVE Index Back To April '20 Levels

US TSYS

The ICE/Bank of America MOVE index hit levels not seen since April 2020 on Friday, with the initial stabilisation/bid in U.S. Tsys proving to be fierce in its own right. Plenty of desks/sell side reports are pointing to the recent volatility resulting in thinner than usual order books, which in turn exacerbates volatility further when large orders are placed and/or major headline flow crosses. A gentle reminder that the MOVE index is by no means elevated in a historical sense.
