Muller: "Probably" more hikes to come

  • Some comments from President of the Estonian Central Bank Madis Muller are hitting the wires this morning. He is generally viewed as a hawk and he has said that the ECB should "probably" rate rates by a little more but that the bulk of the hikes are already done. He reiterated that the ECB needs to "break the backbone" of inflation but noted that Estonian banks are in a strong position and that there are no loan problems for Estonian borrowers or firms.
  • EURUSD is currently at its high of the day, but so are Bund futures.
