Muted Start Across G-10 FX

There has been a muted start to Tuesdays dealing across G-10 FX. Ranges have been narrow with little follow through on moves.

  • AUD/USD is dealing in a narrow range, the pair is little changed from yesterday's closing levels. Support comes in at $0.6663, low from June 23. Resistance is at $0.6731 20-Day EMA.
  • Kiwi is a touch pressured however ranges remain narrow. The Westpac Q2 Employment Confidence Index was on the wires this morning falling 3.9%.
  • Yen sits at the bottom of this morning's narrow range, USD/JPY last prints at ¥143.35/45.
  • Cross asset wise; BBDXY is little changed from opening levels and e-minis are up ~0.2%. US Treasury Yields are a touch lower across the curve
  • There is a thin data calendar in Asia today. Further out Canadian Inflation data provides today's highlight.
