NATGAS: Henry Hubs Holds Near Highs Ahead of EIA Storage Data

Henry Hub is holding a small gain on the day but below the high from yesterday with support from expectation for another below normal gas storage build in the weekly EIA data.
- The EIA weekly gas inventories for the week ending Sept. 27 will be released this afternoon at 10:30 ET (15:30BST). The expectation is for a build of 58bcf according to a Bloomberg survey following a working gas implied build of 55bcf the previous week. The seasonal normal is a build of around 94bcf.
- US LNG export terminal feedgas supply is estimated up slightly on the day to 12.36bcf/d, BNEF shows, driven by recovering Sabine Pass and Cameron flows.
- Lower 48 natural gas demand is up slightly to 71.9bcf/d today, according to Bloomberg. The latest weather forecast still shows above normal temperatures dominating for much of the US although the NOAA forecast for eastern areas has shifted below normal for the 6-14 day period.
- US domestic natural gas production is today estimated at 101.25bcf/d, according to Bloomberg, compared to an average of 101.5bcf/d over the previous week.
- Export flows to Mexico are today estimated at 6.5bcf/d, according to Bloomberg.
- Nymex Henry Hub daily aggregate traded futures volume was 432k on Oct. 2.
- US Natgas NOV 24 up 1% at 2.92$/mmbtu
- US Natgas DEC 24 up 0.7% at 3.32$/mmbtu
- US Natgas OCT 25 up 0.3% at 3.41$/mmbtu
