NATGAS: Norway Gas Outages Relatively Unchanged This Week

NATGAS

NORWAY GAS – Norwegian pipeline supplies to Europe are today nominated at 184.6mcm/d, according to Bloomberg. Gassco shows outages of 186mcm/d today and the capacity reductions are expected to remain between 141mcm/d and 186mcm/d until September 19 when supplies are gradually expected to start returning.

  • Key outages in place today include reduced capacity of 97.6mcm/d at Karsto, 56mcm/d at Kollsnes, and 39mcm/d at Troll.
  • Other assets or units currently showing capacity restrictions are Asgard, Skarv, Sleipner, Gullfaks, Kirstin, Heidrun, Johan Sverdrup and Njord and Dvalin.  See table below for details and timings.
  • The seasonal maintenance period is providing some support to TTF prices although the European market is adjusting for the lower pipeline supplies with an increase in LNG sendout and lower storage injection rates.
  • TTF OCT 24 up 0.5% at 36.65€/MWh
