NATGAS: Norway Gas Supply to Europe Set to Start Recovery After Sept. 19

NORWAY GAS – TTF front month is softer today but holding within the approximate €1.7/MWh range seen yesterday with gas supplies to Europe holding steady but still curtailed by seasonal maintenance. Norwegian pipeline supplies to Europe are today nominated at 197.2mcm/d, according to Bloomberg.

  • Gassco shows outages of 181.9mcm/d today rising slightly to 215.6mcm/d on Sept. 14 after the Kollsnes capacity reduction of 52mcm/d was yesterday extended until Sept. 18.
  • Capacity reductions are expected to remain above 161mcm/d until September 19 when supplies are gradually expected to start returning.
  • Key outages in place today include reduced capacity of 97.6mcm/d at Karsto, 52mcm/d at Kollsnes, and 39mcm/d at Troll.
  • Other assets or units currently showing capacity restrictions this week are Asgard, Skarv, Sleipner, Gullfaks, Kirstin, Heidrun, Johan Sverdrup and Njord, Aasta Hansteen and Dvalin.  See table below for details and timings.
