NATGAS: Norway Maintenance Outages Rising to 237mcm/d on Sept. 2

NORWAY GAS – Norwegian pipeline supplies to Europe are today down at 317.9mcm/d although up from 312.8mcm/d shown earlier this morning, according to Bloomberg. Risks of tightening supply due to outages and a colder winter are supporting prices despite healthy storage levels over EU target levels. 

  • Gassco updates today to outages at Nyhamna and Kollsnes have increased peak capacity reductions next week. Reductions are showing as 34.4mcm/d today rising to a peak of 237mcm/d on Sept. 2 compared to a previous peak shown as 183.5mcm/d.
  • Other field outages in the coming week include at Asgard, Skarv, Sleipner, Karsto, Gullfaks, Kirstin, Heidrun, Johan Sverdrup and Njord and Troll.  See table below for details and timings.
  • TTF SEP 24 up 2.9% at 38.73€/MWh
