  • Business Insider circulated a source report noting that financial regulator KNF head Jacek Jastrzebski told Polish banks that legislation softening the blow to the sector from a potential pro-consumer verdict from the EU's top court over controversial CHF loans will definitely not be adopted before the upcoming election due to the lack of political support from the ruling Law and Justice. The party is reportedly concerned that passing the bill could weigh on its electoral performance.
  • Poland's Chief of the General Staff Rajmund Andrzejczak said that the issue of a Russian cruise missile which fell near Bydgoszcz was not discussed at yesterday's meeting of top NATO military commanders yesterday. RMF FM reported that the army did not inform the prosecutors after an unidentified object entered the Polish airspace in December and an investigation was only launched after a civilian found the debris in April. Military sources told Onet that the decision not to conduct a proper search for the remains of the missile was taken by the Defence Minister to avoid a scandal.
