NBP Keeps Benchmark Rate Steady at 0.1%

  • As expected, the NBP decided to leave its benchmark rate steady at 0.1% despite rising inflationary pressures to maintain financial conditions as loose as possible to stimulate the economic recovery.
  • Governor Glapinski to discuss economic situation in online press conference on Friday 3pm local time (1400BST/0900ET).
  • Policymakers will continue to reassure market that inflationary pressures will be temporary and will continue to guide for policy rates on hold at least until the middle of 2022.
