Net Asset Purchases Slow Sharply

ECB

Weekly ECB net asset purchases fell to the lowest in a month last week, to E13.7bln from E31.9bln a week prior. PEPP purchases slowed by E8.6bln to E15.3bln, while PSPP saw a net contraction and covered bond purchases slowed slightly. CSPP and ABS net buys accelerated modestly. Even with this slowdown though, total net PEPP purchases were still just above E70bln over the past 4 weeks, consistent with the ongoing rolling average.
