New York Harbor Gasoline Tightness Extends

New York Harbor gasoline stockpiles are at their lowest since November 2012 according to EIA figures.

  • The port has been receiving weaker flows from Europe this summer, with Europe facing its own fuel crisis, while an ailing refining sector running at a record 100.4% nameplate capacity on the East Coast has been unable to step in to fill the gap.
  • The US gasoline crack is up 0.1$/bbl at 36.97$/bbl after yesterdays EIA report showed overall falling gasoline stocks across the US and more positive gasoline supplied figures.
  • The US 321 crack is up 0.3$/bbl at 41.91$/bbl
