Poland’s incoming administration will seek to avoid fiscal tightening next year and possibly longer due to a busy election calendar, Bloomberg report citing people familiar with the thinking of the Civic Platform party.

  • The party envisages keeping the budget’s overall restrictiveness little changed next year and possibly in 2025 when the presidential ballot is scheduled, the people said.
  • The next administration’s priority is to fix frayed relations with the EU and unlock access to frozen funds over the outgoing cabinet’s rule of law infringements, they added.
