NFE expects to launch Brazil FSRU in Q4

US LNG producer New Fortress Energy expects to launch an FSRU in Brazil called Barcarena in Q4, according to LNG Prime.

  • The terminal will be located at the mouth of the Amazon river in the state of Para.
  • According to NFE, the terminal will have a capacity of 3m mtpa.
  • NFE is also constructing the 605 MW Barcarena power plant which will receive regasified LNG from the Barcarena terminal and deliver power under a 25-year power-purchase agreements linked to JKM.
