No Meaningful Movement Apparent After Blinken-Xi Meeting, CNH Little Changed

CROSS ASSET

MNI (London) - Nothing in the way of over-conciliatory rhetoric/meaningful fence-mending exercises between the U.S. & China at present, although positive tones from both have been noted after the Blinken-Xi meeting. We suggested beforehand that the meeting would be as much to do with positively realigning the optics surrounding the Sino-U.S. relationship as anything else. USD/CNH trades a little shy of session highs after sticking to a narrow range when the meeting was announced/took place, with a move lower in U.S. Tsy futures keeping the pair underpinned from the (implied) yield differential side.
