No Resumption in Flows from Northern Iraq to Turkey

Northern Iraqi crude oil flows to Turkey's Ceyhan port have not resumed following Baghdad's request to restart them last week according to Reuters sources.

  • Iraq's oil minister wanted flows to resume on Saturday at a rate of 500,000 bpd. They have been halted since March 25.
  • Operators at Ceyhan have not been instructed to prepare for a restart in flows according to the sources.
  • Iraqi sources expect the flows to remain shut until Turkish elections have been resolved.
