Nord Steam Pipeline Likely to Stop Leaking Gas Monday

The Nord Stream pipeline operator said gas is likely to stop flowing from the damaged Nord Stream 1 pipeline on Monday.

  • They also said the future of the pipeline could not be forecast until the damage has been inspected. It will carry out an assessment once the gas stops flowing.
  • "Until there are some results from an assessment of the damage, no forecasts can be made. The damage assessment can be carried out on the spot as soon as we manage to approach the area. At the moment it is a restricted zone," the pipeline operator said.
