POWER: Nordic Intraday Trading to Shift to 15-min Units Starting Jan 2025

Starting in January and March 2025, intraday trading in the Nordic region will shift to 15-minute market time units, with changes to the Estlink, AC, and FennoSkan connections, Fingrid said. 

  • For the Estlink connection between Finland-Estonia, the switch will take effect on 22 January 2025.
  • For the AC connection between Finland-Northern Sweden and the FennoSkan connection between Finland-Southern Sweden, the change will take effect on 18 March 2025.
  • By 18 March 2025, all Nordic borders with intraday trading will adopt 15-minute time units.
  • Intraday trading will shift from 60-minute market time units to 15-minute market time units for continuous trading and three daily auctions.
